Documents · Lesson 1 of 4

Move documents, not just rows

A document rule moves PDFs, scans, images and Excel files from where they arrive to where they belong.

The comic

  1. Panel 1 of 4.

    Files, not rows

Murphy says: Some jobs aren't about rows at all. Bills to your accounts system, receipts to a shared folder: that's a document rule.
  2. Panel 2 of 4.
Murphy says: Start a rule as usual. On “Upload a file”, choose “Move documents instead”. From a connected system, pick “Documents” in its list to move the files attached to its records.
  3. Panel 3 of 4.
Murphy says: Files can come from an upload (up to 100 a run), your “SFTP inbox”, your own SFTP server, Google Drive, OneDrive or SharePoint, or a connected system's records.
  4. Panel 4 of 4.
Murphy says: Pick a “Destination”: “Download” (a zip), an SFTP server, Google Drive, OneDrive or SharePoint, or a system like Xero, QuickBooks or Odoo. Morph keeps no copy: each file is deleted once it's handled.
