Shortcuts: templates and mapping guides

Start a migration from a ready-made template, and teach Morph your fields with a mapping guide.

The comic

  1. Panel 1 of 4.

    Shortcut!

Murphy says: Moving to Odoo? The “Templates” tab on “Rules” has ready-made migrations: Xero contacts, Xero invoices, or QuickBooks invoices into Odoo.
  2. Panel 2 of 4.
Murphy says: Each card says what it “Reads from” and “Writes to”. Choose “Use template”, check the set-up, then “Create rule”. It opens ready for you to finish.
  3. Panel 3 of 4.

    Mapping guides

Murphy says: Built a connector from an API's docs? Give it a mapping guide: a helper file (CSV, Excel or JSON) that lists each field's other names, where it comes from, and its rules.
  4. Panel 4 of 4.
Murphy says: “Download the template”, fill it in, then “Upload helper file”. Morph shows what it read before you “Save guide”, then follows it for suggestions and every record it writes.

Mapping guides are for connectors built from API docs (the connection's menu on “Integrations”) and for Morph Embedded's schemas. Only owners and admins can change them.
